We will have Mass on Monday of this coming week (12/8). Monday is the feast day of the Immaculate Conception. We would love for you to join us at 8:00am.

Monday we will attend our Stewardship field trip and visit the Neighborhood House. We will leave after Mass around 9:20. Parents, if you are planning on attending the field trip you are more than welcome to ride the bus with us. Please send your child in uniform and with a sack lunch.

The first grade team has worked hard to come up with a Christmas play for the first graders. The play will take place on 12/18 at 1pm. Each child has a speaking part. I sent it home today attached to a green piece of paper that explains the event. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Lastly, Monday afternoon I will send home a piece of paper asking for gingerbread house supplies. Each student will have one item to bring in.

I cannot say it enough, but... Thank you SO MUCH for all that you do. Your involvement is wonderful and greatly appreciated!

Have a wonderful weekend! (Stay healthy!)

I am looking forward to a fun and exciting week in 1A! There will be lots of new things learned, so please ask your child LOTS of questions about their day. Attached you will find this week's newsletter.

I am also on the lookout for Kroger/Meijer ads to use in the classroom. If you get the newspaper and can spare a few ads I would greatly appreciate it. We will use them for a project closer to Thanksgiving.

Parents, please be on the lookout for permission slips to The Neighborhood House. Note that the students will need to bring sack lunches with them so we can eat with our buddies. I am currently collecting the used/new book donations to give to their buddies. The students will hear all about this field trip on Friday during Stewardship. A big thank you to Mrs. Tribble for organizing this field trip! If you have any questions please let me know.

Also, a HUGE thank you to all of the parents who assisted with the Halloween party on Friday afternoon. I think it was a success!

Have a wonderful week. :)

Today was another adventurous day in 1A!

Today's focuses included singular/plural nouns, comparing texts, comparing underwater mammals to fish and solving word problems with either addition or subtraction. Attached you will find the final product of the Venn Diagram used to compare the two pieces of literature.

I am so proud of the students' focus and effort today! Happy Tuesday :)

Today was a wonderful day. I met all of my incredibly sweet first graders today. I am blessed beyond imagine with incredible parents and kiddos this year. Not to mention, the outpouring of love, support and congratulations I received today from past parents. I truly believe I am where I need to be. There's nothing quite like spending time catching up with a former student. I thank God, my family and the village that helped me realize what I'm born to do, teach. My heart is full. :)
